Lewis Kennedy

North West All-rounder

I started fishing 18 years ago going along with my dad, pleasure fishing on local lakes in my hometown of Preston. At the age of 12, my fish progressed from pleasure fishing into match fishing.

With my dad fishing matches on many weekends, he struggled to take me pleasure fishing so he chucked me in at the deep end fishing open matches and fishing with a local club!

I won my first match at the age of 14 and from then I fished various club and open matches nearly every week for the next 8 years! I started work at Ted carters fishing shop when I was 18 and after a couple years of working there, being local to river Ribble and listening to guys that came into the shop I started fishing on the river and soon got hooked catching barbel and chub. I love being able to wander along the river bank, searching for new spots to fish and places that hold bigger fish.

I also do quite a lot of multi-species fishing ranging from sea fishing to tench and bream fishing and even pike fish.
