| Boilies were originally made round when they were rolled in between the palms of hands in very small numbers, when boilies started to be made on a commercial basis the tradition was carried on, but as fishing has moved on so will the shape of the boilie.
Most boilies are now only used as hookbaits; fished in conjunction with pellets, groundbait or hemp as feed so only a small quantity of hook baits are required.
It is often important to have a wide selection of hookbaits to change size, flavour and colour during a session.
The boilies are available in white fish, white chocolate and pineapple flavours in 6, 8 and 12mm sizes and a pot costs £1.49 which means that buying a couple of different sizes and flavours to give you different hookbait options does not cost the same price as a normal bag. |
