Targeting a Cemex Yateley water for its historic crucians, Duncan Charman came within ounces of the British best, setting a new personal best of 4lbs 3oz 8drams. Duncan targeted the margins by first spodding six loads of Sonubaits natural hemp and then two off 2mm S-pellet feed. Dropping a 2oz lead on top covered with scolded 6mm pellets on top along with a hair-rigged 8mm S-pellet as hookbait. The Crucian was beaten on a short 5-inch hooklink of 4-84lb Grand Match hooklink and a barbed size 12 hook
and came in the early hours.
