The tench were certainly on the mix spodded out over the two days leading up to the session and with seven runs converted into seven tench the article was complete. No whackers but with three sevens to a best of 7lbs 11oz Duncan could not complain.  James Harrison had joined him in the hope of upping his personal best bream and tench, and although his swim took longer to come alive he still managed, two common carp, a tench of 6lbs and two bream, the best 11lbs 1oz. As darkness fell their was a lull in activity but after spodding more particles out at dusk, the bream would show shortly and arrive they did with four doubles caught up till midnight including a new best for me of 11lbs 10oz. Once dusk arrived knowing the tench would disappear so the maggot baits were swapped to 10mm Pineapple Boosted wraps which took all the bream plus two bonus carp in the early hours, 20lbs 10oz and 23lbs, not bad on Grand Match 5-94lbs hooklinks!
