This impressive carp was caught on a weekend when other anglers where struggling, once again proving the incredible attractive powers of the S-pellets

Well known specimen angler and friend of Sonubaits Paul Billington has been targeting other species of fish rather than carp.

Paul who was one of the North West’s better carp anglers had this superb fish of 33lb on a 11mm S-pellet hookbait.

Paul caught this fish whilst fishing for bream and tench on an overnight trip, using method mix made from Skinz feed pellets, halibut pellets, Fin perfect mix 2 groundbait and a liberal helping of small S-pellets

Paul gave up carp fishing to concentrate on other species about 10 years ago - as he said recently he has no plans to go back to carp fishing as he catches enough big carp on his tench gear – 6lb line Korum S3 hooks and a 1.75lb Neoteric rod landed the fish from a weedy water.

Paul went on to say that the carp anglers bivied around the lake blanked – apart from moaning about the large bream they were catching.
