I was fishing a match at Passies Pond near Lancing. It was a reasonably mild windy day. I fed my pole lines at the start of the match and decided to have a couple of chucks on a method feeder to see if I could get a quick carp.

If only it was Silver

I was using Sonubaits Mix 1 with a 6mm S-Pellet on a hair rig. First chuck and the tip slowly bent round and I found myself attached to something heavy. After a brief battle I landed this lovely 17lb 4oz carp. I went on to finish fourth in the match with 41lb. Unfortunately the carp only counted as 1lb in weight as it was a silverfish match and all carp count as 1lb.
