With the rivers being in such a sorry state due to a lack of water I have carried on fishing Westhampnet for the carp.

Since the 39lb Mirror shown on a previous blog I have caught a few more but bank holiday monday turned into a real red letter morning.
I had been fishing at a range of 120 yards over a bed of silt and had spodded out a bucket of spod mix pellets and two tins of hemp and maize. Because of the depth of the silt I have been using a lighter boilie so that it does not sink into the slit.
The morning started at 5.45am with a nice 17lb linear mirror but what followed in the next two hours was incredible.
I managed to land 3 mirrors weighing in at 33.12lb 35lb and 35lb 6oz.in what is easily the best carp fishing session I have every had. The two fish shown are the 33.12lb and the 35lb.The biggest fish I had caught a couple of months earlier so it was weighed and popped back
