Preston Innovations DELCAC team members Sean Clifford and Jon Parks recently drew next to each other whilst fishing a match at the prolific southern fishery Monk lakes in Kent.

Kent. On the day in question the weather was very cold with the first snows of the year falling.
The target species on lake 1 at Monks are mainly F1’s with a few mirror carp as well.
There are plenty of Barbel, Ide, small Tench and skimmers too. But to do any damage you really need to get among the F1’s.
As is always the way when 2 team mates draw next to each other the banter was good but neither angler wanted to lose the battle. With this in mind both anglers targeted the F1’s.
The method involved cupping in lose dampened Sonubaits F1 groundbait and Sean chose to fish pellets whilst Jon chose to fish maggots.
The end result was a tie for 3rd place in the match with both anglers catching 74lb 12oz of mainly F1’s.
