A lot of anglers are now using pellets for most of their fishing but I try to do things a little bit differently to the norm and the Sonubaits Competition Soft Hooker Pellets are a perfect example.
These ready-to-use pellets come in 4mm, 6mm and 8mm sizes and are extremely ‘user-friendly’.
But I like to make sure mine stay in tip-top condition and I do this by putting a few in a plastic bag on my sidetray. This keeps them moist.
I also like to add a couple of drops of Monster Crab from the Sonubaits Liquid Flavours range to them, to keep them nice and moist, and the flavour adds a little kick, which the fish can home in on.
Another favourite flavour is Scopex, which F1s love, as do bream and proper carp. There is a Scopex liquid flavour additive in the Sonubaits range, so this autumn and winter, why not give it a try?
A lot of people don’t realise just how much F1s love a sweet-flavoured bait, and that is why the Sonubaits F1 Groundbait has been such a huge success.
Getting back to the Competition Soft Hookers, I like to hair-rig them, whether pole or tip fishing.
A lot of match anglers are fishing on the bottom with a hard, banded pellet these days, so a soft hook pellet is something the fish don’t see that often, and the novelty factor could get you extra bites.
It certainly works for me.
