My red-hot form at the Packington Somers complex is continuing – and my method mix employing Sonu One To One Original Green Paste and Sonu Fin Perfect feed pellets helped me to a double win last weekend.

On the Saturday I drew peg 38 on Gearys Pool and after catching a decent carp and a few skimmers on the tip, I switched to the pole and caught another four carp and some skimmers, feeding 2mm Fin Perfect feed pellets and fishing sweetcorn on the hook. My weight of 32lb was low but enough to secure first place. And, to add to the thrill of winning, I had drawn the bonus peg so duly pocketed a handy £300 for my sins!

The following day I was on peg 46 on Molands Pool and this time I managed to catch 59lb of carp using punched polony hook bait in the Method feeder for another victory. I found carp in four feet of water alongside a big reed bed but it required a cast of some 35 yards, using my Preston Innovations 11ft 8” Dutch Master rod to reach them. But for those who want to know how to mix my Method mix recipe, here goes again.  Just mix two parts Sonu Fin Perfect 2mm or  50/50 2mm and 1mm pellets to one part Sonu One-To-One green original paste and two parts water. You can’t go wrong, especially if you mix it the night before a match or pleasure session.

I have also been enjoying a great run at Makin’s Fishery and in four winter league matches on Phase One I have recorded one win, two second placings and a fourth place. Long may my successful run continue! My weights there have been as high as 126lbs with my lowest weight being 70lb!Give my method mix a go. It's great and carp just love it!
