Is spring already here? Well during the day it certainly feel like it is, but don’t be fooled as with the warm days come the cold nights and if you forget this you may just get caught out.

Winter Bream on Hemp & Hali Crush

Luckily, clothing today is so good that if you do decide to be foolish and go out for an overnighter like I did on the Wednesday you shouldn’t get too cold.

My overnight session took place on a local lake in search of a bream or two and my luck was in as four fish over 7lbs 8oz, the largest 9lbs 2oz. All came to the method feeder loaded with a Hemp & Hali Crush from Sonubaits and 13mm sonubaits halibut pellets as hookbait.

My brother turned up at first light using the same feed in a cage feeder with Hemp and Hali Crush with double maggot as hookbait and landed a 16lbs grass carp on just a 2lbs hooklink, now that’s angling
