Before the river season started I got the bug to have a go at some carp fishing for a change. My chosen venue was Cemex Anglings Westhampnet syndicate down in Chichester. Its a venue I had fished in the past but I had not been there for a couple of years.

On walking round the pit I found a group of fish in one corner feeding on a clear spot. Once the fish had moved off I introduced a mixture of S-Pellets and sonubaits halibut pellets along with a new boilie I am field testing for Sonubaits which is a shelfish and plum in 20mm from the soon to be launched Session Range.

Over the next two days I landed 7 fish of this spot the biggest was this 33lb mirror.The fish moved from the corner on the second day and after walking round this 41 acre pit I found another group of fish showing some 40 yards from the bank. Once again I baited the area with the same mixture of bait. Unfortunatley it took nearly 24 hours before they settled down to feed on the bait but when they did this cracking 29lb mirror fell to the shellfish and plum.
