I recently earned a place in the Angling Times County Champs Final at Barston and my ticket to the big event came with a 127lb catch of fish taken using products from the Sonu Tigerfish range on both the feeder and the pole.
I decided to use a mix comprising 90 per cent Match Method Mix and 10 per cent Sonu Tigerfish and this caught me 60 per cent of my fish on the Method feeder.
The rest of my catch came on the pole at 5 metres using Sonu One To One Tigerfish Paste, feeding 4mm and 6mm Sonu Tigerfish pellets by hand over the top.
On the feeder I like to use soaked 1mm micros and I just add a handful of my Match Method Mix and Tigerfish Groundbait periodically through the day to make sure the Method mix is just right. The stickiness created by the starch and sugar in the tiger nuts is a wonderful binding agent and carp adore it.
The final of the County Champs individual competition is being fished at Barston Lakes on October 2nd. Some top names will be there including Steve Ringer, Alan Scotthorne and fellow Sonu angler Andy Findlay.
It will be a cracking match and I'm hoping that my Sonu Tigerfish baits and groundbait will give me the edge and bring me the winner's cheque. Fingers crossed!
