The Preston Innovations/Sonubaits DELCAC Team have been fishing the Rushmoor league this Month held at Gold Valley lakes. Due to the rather testing weather conditions recently this has not been the best month for fishing to say the least.

The team result is contested on total weight and not section points so we felt as a team an all out carp attack was justified. This could also be because the individual winner on the day pockets a cool £1000 plus.
On the third round Team Stalwart Charlie Lovell drew a corner peg on middle lake and proceeded to win the round with 96lb of lovely carp.

Charlie caught 24 carp on Sonubaits Pineapple Sweetcorn baits, hairigged on the straight lead and hooked on a size 16 PR24 on the pole.

No feeding was required on the straight lead as is often the way in the winter. Just chucking the lead around your swim searching for the carp is the method.

On the pole line, which Charlie fished to a small island he could reach with 16 metres of his Absolute Gis 12, he fed single catapulted grains of corn. This proved to be the most productive area of his peg on the day.

On the same match team mate Robbie Deacon came second overall from his peg on Syndicate lake using Sonubaits Pineapple sweetcorn on the straight lead method.

These two weights plus back up weights from the rest of us meant a comfortable win for the team on the day.

The soft Sonubaits pineapple corn used straight from the tin is proving irresistible to some of the carp at Gold Valley this winter.
