The Larford Festival is well established in the match calendar now and it's a good event to be part of. I fished it this year and finished inside the top ten.

On Thursday I drew peg 6 on the Burr Bank of the Match Lake and fished shallow and short to win with 105kg 180g. On the Friday I had another decent result with 108kg 660g from peg 10 on the Grass Bank but the Saturday was the telling result.
I drew peg 6 on the Burr Bank again 0- where I had won from on the Thursday but I could only manage 77kg this time of asking and that cost me a few places.
Fishing wise I fed the fishery pellet as per the rules with soft Fin Perfect Pellets and S-Pellets on the hook. I also did well with some of the prototype green groundbait the lads at Sonubaits are working on too and that seemed to work very well - watch out for it next season.
After Larford I was back in winning form at Woodland View last Saturday.
I drew peg 10 on the High Pool and netted 98lb 11oz of small fish together with three carp for 15lb for an overall weight of 113lb 11oz. I fished at 4m and 14m shallow with banded 6mm Sonubaits Competition Feed and 4mm Competition Expanders over Competition Feed.
