At long last some fish! In fact l nearly moved because of getting pestered by tench, but luckily stayed as after dark l managed three, three pound crucians in three casts plus a couple of twos later from Marsh Farm.

The fish which were 3lbs, 3lbs 5oz and 3lbs 10oz fell to a 6mm Sonubaits S-pellet fished over Explosive Fishmeal Groundbait which included both 4 and 6mm S-Pellets. The Preston 17ft Carbonactive float rod enabled a small pole float to present the bait that was mounted on a size 18 hook and a 1.5 Grand Match Hooklink.
