Following Geoff Vallance’s capture of an 18lb 4oz carp in a recent match the Preston Innovations DELCAC grouped star has been at it again with an even bigger specimen of 19lb.

On a recent Winter League match at Frant lakes in Kent, Geoff was drawn on Horseshoe lake which has a large head of skimmers and a fair few carp to be caught. With this in mind he fed a line close in to the near bank for the carp. Feed for this line was Sonubaits natural hemp seed and Boosted Pineapple sweetcorn.

Goeff baited his size 16 PR21 hook with a grain of Sonubaits sweetcorn and dropped in on this line. It did not take long to get a positive bite. When Geoff struck he knew that he had hooked a big fish as it steadily made it’s way out in to the lake, stretching his 13 Hollo elastic to the limit.

The 0.13 Powerline hooklength held and after a spirited 15 minute battle, and thanks to the Pullakit Geoff was using, he was the proud captor of this beautiful Common Carp.

With the help of a few smaller specimens this helped Geoff to a 51lb total and 4th place in the match.
