A recent Preston Innovations and Sonubaits demonstration day at White Acres enabled me to prove beyond any doubt the pulling power of Sonubaits' One To One Paste, where big carp are concerned.

The next few weeks, before the temperatures start to dip, is a great time to catch big carp on pole and paste tactics.
At White Acres I employed a Preston PB Paste Float which is a self-cocking model with a long glass stem and two side eyes, including one on the end of the tip, for better presentation. I used 0.17mm Power Line direct to a PR36 in a size 12, with a lump of green One To One paste moulded around the hook.
The paste is very simple to mix. I used a pot of green Sonu One To One paste, one pot of water and mixed the two equal measures together in a bait tub. All you do is leave the mix for 20 minutes and what you are left with is a paste that stays on the hook for a couple of minutes before dissolving.
One tip is to get another bait tub, put some water in it and time how long a piece of paste takes to dissolve.
When fishing this style I go in with my rig and after a couple of minutes if I had not had any indications, I retrive the rig and rebait. The first three put-ins on the demo day saw me land a 12lb common carp, a 14lb ghostie and a 10lb mirrorn carp. Try Sonu's One To One Paste without feeding anything and watch as the carp, tench and bream home in for a feed.
Incidentally, I used a Preston Innovations 13H elastic in my pole, on a Pulla Kit, because paste does bring you bream and tench and with a lighter elastic like this, you land everything that you hook.
