After our recent success in the Angling Times semi at Gold Valley it was back to our local area.

Monk Lake produced some serious weights for this time of year in a mid week match with Sean Clifford pegged between Derek Gladwin and Jon Parks to produce 127.00LB of bream all caught on a groundbait feeder using an 8mm hair rigged sonu expander pellet as hook bait and S-Pellet Groundbait through the feeder. The 2 weights either side were 56lb and 57lb.

This is method was used by Sean Clifford in the semi final at Gold Valley where 47lb gave him a second in section behind Des Shipp.

The S-Pellet ground bait attack also worked at Weirwood Resivoir and produced 1 section win and 2 in section over the 2 day competition for Sean Clifford.
