Recently I have been doing quite a lot of angling coaching at Lindholme and I learnt about the awesome pulling power of Sonubaits F1 Groundbait on a recent session on Loco Lake.
I had been instructing a group of anglers in various aspects of commercial fishing, including margin fishing, using pellets and corn down the edge.
It had been a reasonable day and the pupils had caught a few fish without the place going crazy.
At around 3 o'clock I asked the group if there was anything they wanted to do and one of them said he would like us to have a go at catching a bag of bream. I had my doubts as to whether it would work, given that the fishing was a bit moody, but I mixed up some Sonu F1 groundbait and we cupped some in at six metres. where before we had caught odd fish steadily, the peg was transformed and the pupils enjoyed a frantic couple of hours catching bream and carp one a cast.
But the most interesting thing that I noticed was when I threw some of the Sonu F1 groundbait in down the edge. Suddenly big carp came right into the side whereas earlier they would not move into the margin swim when solid baits like pellets and corn were introduced.
After the carp moved out I threw in pellets and they did not return.
So I threw in some F1 groundbait and they were straight back in on top of it.
This 'discovery' is something that I am keen to try in matches, so watch this space.
