Tougher S-Pellets
When fishing rivers in flood or carp waters overnight, try drying your S-Pellet or Hali Hooker out. This can be done just before you are going to use them and the longer you leave them the better.
Simply take some out of the bag and leave them to air dry for an hour. The pellet will then become much harder meaning it will be even tougher to fall off the rig.
The pellet has to be drilled before use, but is very easy to drill as it is softer than a normal pellet and it means you can fish with total confidence that the pellet is still attached.
The pellet does not loose any oil in this drying process and so remains extremely attractive to fish. [ VIEW LARGER IMAGE >> ]
Perfect groundbait
Most big fish anglers haven't got a clue when it comes to groundbait preparation and you only have to watch the clips of Fin and Tommy on this site to realise there is a whole lot more to groundbait than just balling it up and chucking it out!
Match anglers will doubtless have followed preparation guidlines closely but if you are a pleasure or big fish angler who wants to do something simple to improve their groundbait then all you have to do is invest in a riddle.
Pushing your mixed groundbait through a riddle breaks up any lumps, adds air to the mix and creates a nice, fluffy texture which enhances attraction in your swim. Better still puh it through a riddle leave it for a a few minutes then push it through again to create the perfect texture.
