My name is Frans Vogels and I‘m a Dutch barbel angler. Since the age of 8 fishing has been my hobby. In 2005 I caught my first barbel in a match on river IJssel. In 2006 I read an article about the Waal and barbel, and since than I have only fished for barbel. In Holland is barbel the last few years to catch on Waal and IJssel. Some little rivers come from Waal and IJssel also contains barbel.
