Adapt your groundbait to the Water Condition

October is the time to start thinking about refining your groundbaits.

With the night’s drawing in and the temperature dropping, October is the time to start thinking about refining your groundbaits.

F1 Groundbait is a great bait for F1’s and skimmers but as the water cools down and the colour begins to drop out of the water as it becomes clearer, fish prefer to feed over darker beds of groundbait. Why not try mixing F1 with F1 Dark groundbait, the colder it gets have a higher proportion of the dark groundbait.

So at the start of the month use ¼ of your mix as F1 Dark and ¾ Original F1 but by the end of the month you would have ¾ F1 Dark to ¼ Original F1.

This way you can adapt your groundbait as the water conditions change.
